Development and Completion of Domestic and International Traffic Exchange Centers

Internet Exchange Points (IXPs) provide a suitable platform for direct connectivity and the exchange of various types of traffic between Internet Service Providers (ISPs), Content Delivery Networks (CDNs), various telecommunications networks, web hosting providers, and other IP-based service providers. This enables the exchange of local traffic without the need to pass through international gateways. IXPs are critical components of a country’s internet infrastructure, allowing content to be delivered from the nearest server to the end user, resulting in significant savings in domestic bandwidth.

  • Domestic IXP Centers: Tehran (Islamic Revolution Telecommunications Complex, Imam Khomeini Center), Qom, Isfahan, Tabriz, Shiraz, Mashhad, Shahid Soleimani Data Center (Bumahen), Shahid Fakhrizadeh Center (Payam Special Airport Zone)
  • International IXP Centers: Islamic Revolution Telecommunications Complex, Shahid Fakhrizadeh Center (Payam Special Airport Zone)
