Tehran, Iran – The Telecommunication Infrastructure Company (TIC) has completed all necessary technical and operational preparations to ensure reliable and uninterrupted communications services for millions of Arbaeen pilgrims traveling between Iran and Iraq.
Dr. Behzad Akbari, Deputy Minister of Information and Communications Technology and CEO of TIC, announced that sufficient international transmission capacity has been provisioned across the Iran–Iraq border to accommodate the anticipated surge in voice and data traffic during the Arbaeen pilgrimage.
Dr. Akbari stated that providing stable, secure, and high-quality communications services for pilgrims is among the Ministry of ICT’s top priorities. He noted that TIC has significantly expanded international transmission capacity and strengthened cross-border connectivity with Iraq to ensure seamless communication throughout the pilgrimage period.
To further enhance network resilience, TIC has established multiple redundant international routes through Iran’s western border provinces, enabling mobile operators and service providers to maintain uninterrupted connectivity even in the event of disruptions affecting individual transmission paths.
Concluding his remarks, Dr. Akbari reaffirmed TIC’s commitment to delivering highly reliable communications services during Arbaeen, stressing that the company’s multi-route transmission architecture and resilient infrastructure will ensure stable connectivity across border crossings and major pilgrimage routes.
