According to the Public Relations and Information Center of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, with the completion of the review of the competencies of the ministers proposed by the President, Issa Zarepour won the majority of MPs for the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology.
Members of the Islamic Consultative Assembly agreed with 256 votes in favor, 17 against and 10 abstentions to appoint Isa Zarepour as Minister of Communications and Information Technology.
